Professor John Rizvi is a Board-Certified Patent Attorney, Adjunct Professor of law, and recognized speaker in the field of intellectual property. He has over 20 years of experience in patent and trademark law and is one of the first group of attorneys ever to be Board Certified as an expert in this field.

He is a recognized TED Talker with 2 of his talks featured last year in Inventor’s Digest in a listing of the “top 10 TED Talks for Inventors”. His books "Escaping the Gray" and "Think and Grow Rich for Inventors" are international best sellers and have won critical acclaim including an endorsement from Kevin Harrington, one of the original sharks on the hit TV show - Shark Tank, responsible for the successful launch of over 500 products resulting in more than $5 billion in sales worldwide.

Professor Rizvi has been interviewed by ABC, CBS, The American Lawyer, CTV, and The Business Journal, and he perfected his craft at one of the most prestigious and revered patent law firms in the world - a firm that counts Bell, Edison, the Wright Brothers and Ford among its distinguished list of famous inventor clients.

Eventually, he grew tired of corporate patent work for large multi-national companies and formed his own law firm 18 years ago so that he could work directly with inventors and start-up entrepreneurs in helping them protect their ideas. In his own practice, he has seen his clients start with nothing but an idea and take their invention all the way through to the successful launch of their product often generating millions in revenues from the sale or licensing of their patents.
